Born on the vibrant Asian side of the Bosphorus, Istanbul Klezmer Kapelye is an international orchestra based in Turkey.
Bold brass meets a soulful violin, along with a driving foundation of accordion, bass, and drum, they will take you on a foot-tapping journey from heartfelt melodies to wild dance
Interpreting the traditional Yiddish music repertoire, these musicians from 5 different countries blend their influences to create a unique Istanbul flavor of klezmer.

WHAT IS KLEZMER?
Klezmer is high energy dance and party music traditionally performed by the Jewish people who lived and traveled across central and Eastern Europe.
The music includes influences from many regions, including Balkan, Ottoman, Romanian, and Ukrainian, and often features songs sung in Yiddish, the Eastern European Jewish language combining German, Hebrew, and Slavic influences.
